nPM1300 EK Evaluation Kit

Evaluation kit for the nPM1300, a highly integrated PMIC with unique system management features

Evaluation kit for the nPM1300, a highly integrated Power Management IC (PMIC) with battery charging and advanced system management features.

The nPM1300 Evaluation Kit (EK) enables fast evaluation and code‑free configuration of the nPM1300 PMIC using the nPM PowerUP desktop application in nRF Connect for Desktop. Through an intuitive graphical interface, all PMIC settings can be configured and exported as code for direct integration into the host MCU application.

The EK provides male pin headers for access to all nPM1300 connections, allowing easy connection to Nordic Development Kits (DKs) and external test equipment. Integrated LEDs and pushbuttons enable evaluation of the PMIC’s built‑in LED drivers and GPIO functionality, while JST battery connectors support batteries with or without an internal NTC.

For initial evaluation of fuel‑gauging capabilities, pre‑profiled battery models included in nPM PowerUP can be used. For best state of charge and state of health accuracy, battery profiling and model generation is a one‑time process that requires an external nPM Fuel Gauge board

Software & tools

Nordic’s PMIC software and tools are designed to simplify power management development across Nordic and non‑Nordic MCUs. With ready‑to‑use drivers for Zephyr and bare-metal environments, a production‑proven fuel‑gauge algorithm, and powerful evaluation tools like nPM PowerUP, developers can evaluate, configure, and integrate PMICs quickly — moving fast from first prototype to final product.

The Software & Tools landing page brings together all software, documentation, downloads, and development resources needed to support PMIC‑based designs.
