Versatile Bluetooth 5.4 SoC supporting Bluetooth Low Energy, Bluetooth mesh and NFC

The nRF52832 is a general-purpose multiprotocol SoC. It meets the challenges of a broad range of applications that need advanced Bluetooth® LE features, protocol concurrency and a rich and varied set of peripherals and features. In addition, it offers generous memory availability for both Flash and RAM.

The nRF52832 is multiprotocol capable with full protocol concurrency. It supports Bluetooth Low Energy, including the high-speed 2 Mbps feature. Bluetooth mesh can be run concurrently with Bluetooth LE, enabling smartphones to provision, commission, configure and control mesh nodes. NFC, ANT and 2.4 GHz proprietary protocols are also supported.

It is built around an Arm® Cortex™-M4 CPU with floating point unit running at 64 MHz. It has NFC-A Tag for use in simplified pairing and payment solutions. It has numerous digital peripherals and interfaces such as PDM and I2S for digital microphones and audio.

Exceptionally low energy consumption is achieved using a sophisticated on-chip adaptive power management system.

nPM1300 PMIC

Power Management IC (PMIC) with unique system management features

The nPM1300 is designed to provide highly efficient power regulation for Nordic’s nRF52® and nRF53® Series, as well as the nRF54H20 advanced wireless multiprotocol Systems-on-Chip (SoC). The PMIC is also suitable for battery charging for applications based on the nRF91 Series systems-in-package (SiPs) for cellular IoT, by using the PMIC’s unregulated output to power the SiP's internal buck regulators.

Devices using the nPM1300 and a compatible SoC or SiP also get access to the Nordic Fuel Gauge, a highly accurate, ultra-low-power way of estimating state-of-charge of rechargeable batteries.

The nPM1100 is a dedicated power management IC (PMIC) with dual-mode configurable buck regulator and integrated battery charger. It is designed as a complementary component to Nordic’s nRF52® Series and nRF53® Series System-on-Chips (SoCs) to ensure reliable power delivery and stable operation, whilst maximizing battery life through high efficiency and low quiescent currents. It can also be used as a generic PMIC device for any other suitable application.
