nRF21540的TX功率动态可调，输出功率可以设置较小的增量，最高可设为21dBm。这样可确保，应用的设计在所有区域和工作条件下，均能够在允许范围 1 dBm 之内的输出功率下运行。LNA具有2.7 dB的低噪声，确保更高的RX灵敏度。

nRF21540补充性设备连接到SoC的天线输出。它带有两个额外的天线端口用于支持天线分集。可以通过SPI、GPIO管脚或两者的组合来控制TX输出功率、TX增益控制和天线切换。

nRF21540提供了非常具有竞争力的参数，在+20 dBm TX输出功率时为110 mA，在+10 dBm TX输出功率时为38 mA，在RX时为2.9 mA，在省电模式下为45 nA。更宽的工作温度范围可达-40°C到105°C，使其与nRF52820、nRF52833或nRF5340 SoC一起成为专业照明的理想选择。

为nRF21540量身定制的主要应用包括智能家居、资产跟踪、音频以及工业应用。

芯片采用4x4 QFN16封装，并作为nRF21540 RF FEM的补充。Nordic提供开发板，可以使用实验室设备评估射频前端模块的性能，以及与nRF52或nRF53系列SoC结合使用的实际应用性能。
