Two Bluetooth LE products. Same use case. Same coin cell. One lasts 18 months, the other dies in six weeks. It is almost never one thing. Hardware design, firmware, and protocol decisions all compound into your power budget.

Those decisions are only as good as the measurements that validate them. Obtaining accurate current measurements for a Bluetooth LE product is often harder than it looks. A sample rate that averages away your radio peaks, a debugger still drawing current, leakage on the VDD domain: the number that comes back looks fine. It is just not the one you are after. You spend a week optimizing something that was never the real problem.

In this hands-on webinar, we will first cover the principles and design decisions that truly impact your power consumption, and how to build a realistic power budget for your device. Then, and most importantly, how to verify a measurement setup before you trust anything it tells you.

We will build a Bluetooth LE application together on the nRF54L Series and optimize it one change at a time, measuring after every step and comparing what we measure against what we predicted.
