Multiprotocol wireless connectivity

The company will supply Nordic’s complete portfolio of multiprotocol wireless and low power cellular IoT connectivity hardware, firmware, development tools, and reference designs. This includes the nRF9160 low power SiP with integrated LTE-M/NB-IoT modem and GNSS, the nRF5340—Nordic’s advanced multiprotocol SoC boasting dual Arm® Cortex®-M33 processors and a class-leading multiprotocol 2.4 GHz radio—as well as the nRF7002 low power Wi-Fi 6 companion IC that provides seamless dual band (2.4 and 5 GHz) connectivity for low power Wi-Fi products.

“Nordic Semiconductor is a leading player in wireless connectivity and Eastronics is excited to become its distributor in Israel,” says Doron Eitan, Embedded Group Manager, Eastronics. “The country’s high tech markets are performing strongly, and Nordic’s comprehensive suite of wireless solutions are well positioned to support the rapid development and adoption of IoT technology.

“Eastronics’ team of skilled Field Application Engineers [FAEs] will provide customers with technical support from the early stage of project development through design and production.”

IoT growth potential

“Israel is a country with huge potential in most use cases of IoT technology from medical and industrial, to the smart home, communications, and even wearable devices,” says Thomas Page, Regional Sales Director – Europe, Nordic Semiconductor. “Eastronics is a long-standing and well regarded company that not only knows the country and market, but has the technical capabilities to support developers.
