micro:bit class kit program

Where coding starts

Get micro:bits for your class

microbit_Perspective_Back.pngTen years ago a pocket-sized computer reached every year 7 student in the UK. Nordic Semiconductor contributed the million chips inside them. Now it’s your students’ turn.

To mark ten years of micro:bit, we’re sending BBC micro:bit Club kits to classrooms around the world, each with ten micro:bit V2 boards and everything needed to use them. We’ll also feature some of the classes on our website, so your students can see their work published. If you teach 8 to 14 year olds and there’s something you’d like your class to build, enter below.

Entries close 15 November 2026.

What you get

If your class is selected, you will receive a BBC micro:bit Club kit, containing ten BBC micro:bit V2 boards, and accompanying USB cables, battery packs, batteries, quick start user guides, safety leaflets, cardboard battery pack holders, and stickers. Tell us how many students would take part and we’ll match the number of kits to fit your class.

Who can enter

Educators at schools and educational organizations worldwide, teaching students aged 8 to 14. One entry per educator. Terms and conditions apply.

If you’re selected

We’ll email you to arrange delivery.

After the project, we’ll ask you to tell us how it went: a short write-up, a quote we can publish, and a few photos of what your class built. Photos should show the projects rather than the students.

We’d also like to feature a few of the classes in more depth. That might mean an interview with you, photos, or a video of the class at work, and a write-up on our website showing what your students built and how they did it. We’ll agree what’s involved with you first.
