The nRF91M1 is a compact, pre‑certified, ultra‑low‑power cellular IoT connectivity module supporting LTE‑M and NB‑IoT. As a dedicated Smart Modem solution, it comes pre‑programmed with Nordic’s mature Serial Modem application and modem firmware, enabling simple control from any external host MCU via intuitive AT commands or PPP interfaces.

The nRF91M1 integrates GNSS and cellular‑based locationing, and seamless nRF Cloud integration further simplifies development—reducing deployment risk and enabling faster scaling from prototype to production.

Based directly on the globally certified nRF9151 platform and its proven software stack, the nRF91M1 is designed to simplify development and accelerate time‑to‑market where a separate host MCU is required or preferred. It provides a straightforward way to add cellular connectivity to external applications, or to migrate to the Nordic nRF91 Series for a smaller, lower‑power, and more mature solution than incumbent designs.
