nPM1100 Power Management IC

Pin configurable and compact form-factor PMIC

The nPM1100 is a Power Management IC (PMIC) combining an integrated battery charger with a dual-mode configurable buck regulator. The nPM1100 simplifies power supply design while delivering high conversion efficiency and low quiescent current to maximize battery life in space-constrained wearable, medical, and IoT applications. It is 100 % pin configurable and does not require any software for configuration or control. 

With a total solution footprint as low as 23 mm² including all passive components, the nPM1100 enables compact battery-powered designs that previously required multiple discrete components. PCB area is slightly larger for efficiency optimized designs.

    • Supported battery types: Li-ion and Li-Po
    • Charge current: 20–400 mA
    • Selectable termination voltage
      • 4.1 V or 4.2 V on the standard VTERM device
      • 4.25 V or 4.35 V on the high VTERM device
    • Battery input voltage: 2.3 - 4.35 V
    • JEITA compliant
    • Dynamic power-path
    • NTC battery thermal protection
  • System regulator
    • USB compatible with 100 mA and 500 mA current limit
    • Input voltage: 4.1 – 6.7 V
    • 20 V overvoltage protection
    • Unregulated system rail
      • Output voltage: 3 – 5.5 V 
      • Output current: up to 660mA 

Voltage regulators

  • Buck regulator
    • Output current: 150 mA
    • Output voltage: 1.8 V, 2.1 V, 2.7 V, or 3.0 V (pin selectable)
    • Automatic hysteretic and PWM mode switching, or forced PWM mode
    • Power conversion efficiency up to 92%

System management

  • Ship mode: 460 nA
