Nordic Semiconductor (OSE: NOD), global leader in low-power wireless connectivity solutions, today announced the appointment of Christer Roth as Executive Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development, effective immediately.
In his role, Roth will lead corporate strategy, M&A, partnership activity, and support capital markets engagement as Nordic executes its long-term growth plan.
"Nordic delivers the world's most energy-efficient and complete wireless IoT solutions, from chip to cloud, and we are focused on extending that leadership," said Vegard Wollan, CEO at Nordic Semiconductor. "With Christer Roth joining our leadership team, we strengthen our strategic capabilities and execution capacity as we pursue our next phase of growth. He brings deep expertise across strategy and capital markets, together with longstanding relationships across the technology and financial sectors, that will help us identify, develop, and capture new opportunities."
Roth brings more than 25 years of experience across capital markets, investment management, and strategic advisory, with a particular focus on technology companies. He spent 15 years at DNB Markets, Norway's largest investment bank, most recently as Managing Director, leading the TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecommunications) and FinTech (Financial Technology) investment banking team in Oslo, where he advised boards and executive teams on corporate strategy, M&A, capital allocation, and long-term value creation. He holds an MSc in Finance from London Business School.
"The wireless IoT market is entering a new phase of growth, driven by billions of connected devices, AI increasingly moving to the edge, and growing demand for integrated solutions," said Christer Roth. "Nordic has established a unique position at the intersection of these structural shifts through its technology, ecosystem, and customer relationships. The opportunity ahead is significant, and I look forward to supporting the company's next phase of growth and value creation."
