We look forward to working with both large and small customers in China to help them make the most of this design tool as they create the next generation of low power wireless and cellular IoT solutions
Wendell Boyd, Nordic Semiconductor
Nordic nRF Connect for Cloud is a free service for Cloud-based evaluation, test, and verification of Bluetooth® 5/Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth LE) designs employing Nordic’s nRF51 and nRF52 Series multiprotocol Systems-on-Chip (SoCs) and nRF91 Series low power, global multimode LTE-M/NB-IoT System-in-Package (SiP) for cellular IoT. Operating with all popular browsers, nRF Connect for Cloud uses Web Bluetooth application programming interfaces (APIs) to push and extract data to and from the Cloud, enabling the developer to test and modify the behavior and performance of prototypes. The product works out-of-the-box with the Nordic Thingy:52 IoT Sensor Kit, Nordic nRF5 development kit (DK), and software development kit (SDK) examples.

While the ease of use allows an inexperienced developer to be up and running in minutes, the platform’s comprehensive functionality covers the needs of more experienced developers. For example, nRF Connect for Cloud offers much of the functionality of Nordic’s existing popular applications for building and developing wireless IoT products as well as supporting an extensive range of standard services.

The CEM Editor’s Choice Awards are jointly organized by leading electronics industry magazine, CEM, and China Electronic Exhibition & Information Communication Company. Following a review period of more than three months, members of the judging panel selected a total of 16 products from 15 competing companies as award winners across various categories such as automotive electronic solutions, sensor products, power products, and development tools.

“China is one of Nordic’s most important markets and a global center of wireless IoT design expertise,” says Wendell Boyd, Nordic Semiconductor’s Director of Sales & Marketing – APAC. “That makes recognition of nRF Connect for Cloud by one of China’s leading electronics design magazines, CEM, especially pleasing. We look forward to working with both large and small customers in China to help them make the most of this design tool as they create the next generation of low power wireless and cellular IoT solutions.”
