Nordic Semiconductor today announces that it has been shortlisted by the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) along with two other nominees for the 2020 GSA ‘Most Respected Emerging Public Semiconductor Company Award’ in the $100 to $500 million annual sales category.
Nordic Semiconductor has also been further shortlisted for the GSA 2020 Outstanding EMEA Semiconductor Company Award alongside three other nominees. Nordic previously won this award in 2015.
GSA says the industry’s Most Respected Public Semiconductor Company awards are designed to identify the public companies (sub-divided into large, medium-sized, and emerging based on annual revenue) garnering the most respect from the industry in terms of their products, vision, and future opportunities.

The GSA adds that revenue, profitability and market capitalization, among other financial and product successes, are considered to be listed on the ballot. On-line voting takes place to allow GSA membership, including semiconductor companies and partners, to vote for the public semiconductor companies they most respect.
GSA says that the Outstanding EMEA Semiconductor Company Award award recognizes a semiconductor company headquartered in Europe, Middle East or Africa (EMEA) that clearly demonstrates the most strength when measuring products, vision, leadership, and success in the marketplace. GSA’s EMEA Leadership Council determines both the nominees and the winner of this award.
The winners will be announced at the GSA's annual Awards Dinner Celebration, which will be held on December 3rd – this year exceptionally in a virtual (videocall) format.
