블루투스 LE, 블루투스 메시, 스레드 및 지그비와 통합 USB를 지원하는 블루투스 5.2 SoC

nRF52820은 HID, 스마트 홈, 상업용 및 산업용 애플리케이션을 위해 USB 및 첨단 무선 연결을 제공하는 소형 패키지 기반의 SoC(System-on-Chip)이다.

nRF52820은 64MHz 클럭의 Arm® Cortex-M4 프로세서를 기반으로 256KB 플래시 및 32KB RAM을 갖추고 있으며, 아날로그 비교기와 UART, SPI, TWI 및 QDEC, 그리고 매우 유용한 USB를 비롯해 다양한 아날로그 및 디지털 인터페이스를 제공한다. 또한 1.7V ~ 5.5V의 전압을 공급받을 수 있어 충전식 배터리와 같은 소스 또는 USB를 통해 디바이스에 전원을 공급할 수 있다. 이 디바이스는 2.4GHz 멀티 프로토콜 무선 기능을 완벽하게 갖추고 있으며, 최대 +8dBm의 출력 파워를 제공한다. 

nRF52820은 방향탐지(Direction Finding), 2Mbps의 빠른 전송속도, 긴 도달거리와 같은 모든 블루투스 LE(Bluetooth® Low Energy) 기능과 함께 모든 블루투스 5.2 기능을 지원한다. 또한 블루투스 메시(Bluetooth Mesh), 스레드(Thread) 및 지그비(Zigbee) 메시 프로토콜도 지원된다. 

 

nRF52820의 USB 주변장치는 PC, 태블릿, 스마트폰 및 게이트웨이와 같은 다양한 호스트와 짧은 지연시간의 고대역폭 통신을 위해 널리 사용되는 인터페이스인 풀 스피드 USB 2.0 디바이스를 구현할 수 있도록 해준다. 또한 USB 기반 DFU(Device Firmware Update)를 수행할 수 있는 옵션도 추가되었다. nRF52820은 USB 호스트에서 공급되는 5V 신호로 직접 전원을 공급받을 수 있으며, 이러한 구성에 대한 레퍼런스 레이아웃은 아래 제품 개요서를 다운로드하면 확인할 수 있다. 

nRF52833 DK는 nRF52820을 에뮬레이션할 수 있는 권장 개발 키트이며, 맞춤형 보드로 이행하기 전에 초기 개발 작업을 시작하는데 사용할 수 있다.
