COVID-19 update from Nordic Semiconductor

Words from the CEO

2020-03-20

For Nordic Semiconductor our focus these days is with people safety first, followed by business continuity, both underpinned by Nordic’s values of Engagement, Contribution, Knowledge, Respect and Responsibility.

Following the global coronavirus outbreak, Nordic has made several mitigating actions to protect our employees as well as our other stakeholders. Our employees around the world have embraced and refined the use of virtual interaction, enabling us to continue developing our strong customer relationships and deliver on customer expectations and demands. Hence, our operation is to a large extent going as planned. This week we released our annual report, stating that the guidance for Q1 2020 remains intact at the time of writing. Disruptions in the value chain or distribution channels cannot be ruled out given the extent and magnitude of the measures that the governments in several countries are currently implementing to prevent further spreading of the coronavirus.

Our online technical support community, Nordic DevZone, continue to serve developers across the globe. Our strong ties to, and collaboration with, the developer community represent integral and invaluable parts of our truly customer-centric company culture and DNA.

Our solutions in Bluetooth® Low Energy and cellular IoT helps enabling connectivity technologies for Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, with the potential to improve how we live our lives. In the current situation, this continues to be important – and perhaps even develops in new directions. At Nordic we are committed and ready to continue doing our best to contribute to the well-being of people and business, in all the ways we find possible.

Stay safe!
