Nordic’s nRF9151: The smallest and lowest power cellular IoT solution for the massive IoT market is now available and in production
One of the most important reasons we selected the nRF9160 SiP was the Nordic nRF Connect SDK. To achieve stable performance and low power consumption, we relied heavily on the SDK’s core firmware to optimize our application software. The Nordic team also provided us with excellent support throughout the development process. Our engineers benefitted greatly from the assistance of the Nordic DevZone, which helped speed up the development process.

View the full storyWe used the nRF Connect Software Development Kit [SDK] to build our application entirely in-house – in fact, we were able to use the SDK to prototype parts of our application in a matter of days and develop a field ready beta solution in weeks. The abundance of sample code made it easy to get started, and we found the documentation easy to navigate and helpful as we started to optimize for power and performance.

Our development team is familiar with Nordic’s excellent technical support and information, forum discussions, development tools, and the high level of expertise from the Nordic engineering team. It is a choice based on the high performance of Nordic’s product range, but it is also a choice to work with people that make Nordic Semiconductor such a great company.

View the full storyWe selected the nRF5340 SoC for the high performance application processor and ample memory it provides, while the nRF7002 Wi-Fi Companion IC not only offers the latest Wi-Fi 6 technology, but its low power consumption makes it ideal for battery-powered devices. Both the nRF5340 and nRF7002 also meet industrial grade operating temperature requirements from -40 to 85°C, making them suitable for use in harsh environments. We also partner with Nordic because of its excellent brand reputation, and rapid technical support.

View the full storySensry chose Nordic Semiconductor’s nRF52840 for its Kallisto SY021-PCB multi-sensor module primarily due to the SoC’s extremely power efficient implementation, but also the available Bluetooth front end and the Zephyr RTOS support. We also selected the Nordic nPM1100 for power management due to the PMIC’s high integration with the battery charger and all required DC/DC converters. In addition, we have been able to rely on the excellent design-in support, the Nordic DevZone forum, and the availability of direct, competent discussion partners at Nordic.
